Listander distribute a range of leather recliner chairs, club chairs and small sofas through retailers in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Two factories in Tibro, Sweden make them, employing skilled craftsmen who specialise in cutting, sewing and upholstering leather furniture.
The top grade leathers are supplied by world renowned Elmo Leather. Their leather is manufactured from Scandinavian cowhides, which are the most expensive in the world. The cool Nordic climate eliminates many of the parasites that are harmful to animals, providing the finest and
smoothest leather on the market.
Listander supply the Elmo leathers in three different ranges of aniline and semi-aniline leather in a total of over 80 colours.
Aniline leather is the most naked leather produced. It is given only a light surface coating to protect from dirt. It reveals all the hide’s natural characteristics such as neck wrinkles and fat lines, irregularities in grain structure, porosity and softness, and healed minor cuts and scratches.
Both Elmotique and Elmo Baltique are aniline leathers.
Semi aniline leather is combining a high level of naturalness with comfort and durability. The surface treatment with a water based dye finish with a small amount of pigment produces leather that is soft and supple yet resistant and easy to clean. Markings in the leather are less visible. Elmo Soft is semi aniline leather. On some models Listander offer Italian and Brazilian pigmented leather with corrected grain to include budget priced chairs in the collection. As the more expensive chairs in Elmo leather these chairs and stools are also fully covered in top leather. No vinyl or split is used. |
